Susan Hunt Stevens, Founder & CEO

Susan Hunt Stevens

Susan has spent over 13 years in digital media & marketing, most recently as SVP/General Manager of Boston.com, one of the largest news and information sites on the Web, owned by the New York Times Company. She also was a co-founder of Abridge, Inc, a venture-backed start-up that focused on finding patterns and trends in email and other electronic communications. She spent the early part of her career as a management consultant.

Susan has an MBA from The Tuck School of Business, a BA in government from Wesleyan University, and recently finished the graduate program in sustainable design at the Boston Architecture College. She serves on the boards of Xconomy.com, the Center for Women & Enterprise, and Inspiring Kids. She lives in Newton, MA with her better-half Peter, two young children and dog, Annie.

Sarah Finnie Robinson, Director of Social Programming

Sarah Finnie Robinson

Sarah has enjoyed a deep career in media, notably at The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and iVillage.com. She has written for a number of publications, The Atlantic, Family Life, and Mothering among them.

Sarah holds a BA from Princeton University and an MA from the Bread Loaf program at Middlebury. She has served on the board of Seventh Generation and on the Steering Committee of Shelburne Farms. Her three children are now in their twenties. Despite their early years of eco-ignorance, today they are avid recyclers, locavores, composters, and mass-transit travelers. She and her husband Jack are building an energy-efficient house for their family in Rhode Island.

Alexandra Zissu, Editorial Director

Alexandra Zissu

Alexandra is an eco lifestyle expert, writer, speaker, and consultant. She's the author of The Conscious Kitchen -- Books for a Better Life Awards finalist -- and co-author of Planet Home, The Complete Organic Pregnancy, and The Butcher's Guide to Well-Raised Meat. She has worked for New York Magazine, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Lifetime and Details magazines, The New York Observer and Women's Wear Daily.

Over the past decade, her stories have also appeared in The New York Times, The Green Guide, Plenty, Cookie, TheDailyGreen.com, Bon Appetit, Health, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Self, Child, Time Out New York, Harper's Bazaar and The Huffington Post, among other publications.

She speaks often about all things eco-friendly at private firms, mothers' groups, schools, non-profits, and industry expos, and consults about green living for individuals and organizations. Though she should probably be on a biodynamic farm in Vermont, or growing dill in Finland, she actually lives in New York City, across the street from where she grew up, with her (organic) family.

Rajiv Aaron Manglani, Director of Engineering

Rajiv Aaron Manglani

Rajiv solves business problems through creative applications of information technologies. He has worked on projects as varied as: creating high-performance Linux-based super computers used to render visual effects for movies; building the first web-based 401(k) reporting system; and putting together a museum kiosk to display the works of an MIT scientist and inventor.

Prior to joining Practically Green, Rajiv was a Web Systems Architect at Brontes Technologies (a startup acquired by 3M). He led a team to create workflow and management systems for a 3-D intra-oral scanner designed to replace the "goop" used to make dental impressions.

Rajiv has a BS in Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a volunteer developer for Gentoo Linux, contributes to open source software, and lends his expertise to the Boston Jewish Film Festival. He is a fan of single-stream recycling and takes public transit every day. Rajiv lives in Cambridge, MA with his wife and daughter.
